APS Fulfillment, Inc. Reacts to Report Showing Online Sales in the U.S. Will Reach $523 Billion by 2020

Miami, FL, February 10, 2016 – APS Fulfillment, Inc. (www.APSFulfillment.com), one of the nation’s leading cost-effective fulfillment and integrated direct mail marketing companies, comments on a study showing online retail sales in the United States will reach $523 billion over the next five years. APS Fulfillment Inc. also explains the best way brands can meet the warehousing and fulfillment needs of the increased demand.

According to a recent report, online sales in the U.S. are forecast to reach $523 billion by 2020, up 56% from $335 billion in 2015. Over the next five years, online sales will grow by an annual rate of 9.32%. Much of this growth is expected to come from those who use mobile devices. “The online retail environment continues to grow quickly. So too is the way consumers interact with their favorite brands. Where 244 million consumers shopped online in 2015, 270 million will do so by 2020,” says Charles Aultman, president of APS Fulfillment, Inc. “Going forward, brands need to be able to adapt their warehousing and fulfillment needs to the savvy on-the-go digital shoppers.”

The study notes that faster wireless networks and bigger smartphones make it easier and more convenient for consumers to shop using their mobile devices. Not only will brands need to be able to keep up with the surge of online sales, they will also need to ensure that products get to customers as quickly as possible.

“A strong logistics strategy can save warehouse space, time, and money. Outsourcing to a fast, accurate fulfillment company can also help increase customer satisfaction and brand retention, and lead to further sales,” Aultman explains. “In addition to being strategically located to all major land, air, and sea transportation hubs in southern Florida, APS Fulfillment, Inc.’s state-of-the-art real-time shipping solutions, means it receive an order as soon as it’s placed. Not only does this prevent backlogs, it ensures the order is shipped as soon as possible.
